Little bit excited, etsy love

There has been a little bit of excitement here this week.

Mr M was checking his stats of his new Moerkey Etsy shop when he noticed a tremendous surge in traffic. Like from 400 visits to over 8000 in a day.

Lucky him, he had been listed at the top on an Etsy newsletter. Apparently this is big! He was thrilled.

It has resulted in quite a few sales and all of a sudden he needed to come up with a packaging strategy and a bit of branding.

It is still all a work in progress but thrilling to see him having some success.

Lovely Janette from My Sweet Prints and Jules from the Diversion Project quickly let us know what was going on and Janette even emailed through the newsletter.  Mr M was thrilled by your their kindness.

Now the giveaway is still open so pop over here and leave a comment please.

Happy Weekend.

PS if you are looking for me, I will be lazing around in my pjs enjoying the start of the school holidays and the first weekend of
 no football.
Yay!!!!

Art in the lane and Moerkey giveaway.

I love this photo.
I do love a bit of photo editing now and then!

I took it down a lane in town.
It used to be a grotty, dingy lane between the takeaway joints.

Some bright spark organised artists to depict the Wimmera River and surrounding land.

It looks different throughout the day.
I love how the birds seem to be circling overhead.

Well done clever artist and well done City Council.

On another note,
Don't forget to enter the Moerkey giveaway.
Mr M was delighted yesterday to be featured in the etsy newsletter,
right up the top.
He had a massive surge in traffic and some sales.
It's funny watching him checking his shop and talking about things like, "favourites" and "traffic"
it's like he has stepped into my world.

Click on the picture to go to the post and leave a comment to enter,
easy peasy.

chooky love and a giveaway.

Have I ever told you about the lovely silky bantams we used to have?
They were called Delores, Pam and Kira.

They used to roam freely around our back garden, grazing on weeds and fallen fruit.

Delores was the longest living and our favourite.
She used to eat out of the dog bowl,
at the same time as our long departed faithful pet Bramble the black fluffy dog.

She was also rather partial to sharing a meaty bone.

It was quite a sight, fluffy black dog and fluffy black hen,
sharing a bowl or a bone
side by side.

She followed us around and was really quite a social chook.

In the evening she would toddle off to her luxury home.

Leaving Bramble alone to eat the fallen fruit.

I had such a lovely time going through the photo album to find photos of these two characters.

I unearthed some photos of our past rennovations.

We looked sooooo young.
Mr M. had hair!

Anyway,
back to the giveaway.

The giveaway is for one linen/cotton blend
t towel with some red chooks printed on it.
And
a selection of chooky print offcuts made into little gift cards.

I picked these up from a lovely seller
called Firetail when I went to the Grampians texture market, that I blogged about here.

Firetail stand at the market.

Come for a spring garden ramble.

Come in, come for a ramble in our garden. Spring has sprung and the flowers are waiting to greet you.

In we go.

Meet the first ever success we had with Kangaroo Paw. Our secret?
Go away for 12 weeks and leave them be....

Our tumble down hedge is looking green and luscious.

"Hello Mr Petunia!"

"Hello, pretty pink rose."

"Hi there catmint."

Er, no idea what this is. So "hello herby looking plant."

This daisy has "relaxed" over the garden bed.

Just waiting to be made into lemon slice. Mmmm.

This happy chappy guards the seedlings.

This is what the little Moerks do in their spare time.

Hope you have enjoyed our little tour.
Do you ever have a little encouraging chat to your garden?

P.S.

Have a ridiculously good day.
