This sounds like a very fun thing to do. Last night I cut a potato in half and it looked like a flower...I was thinking it would make a lovely stamp! ;-)
I love the idea of just using an eraser instead iof lino. I have lots of crazy lino-cutting ideas but remember cutting my hands loads at school from trying to gouge it out. Thank you so much for sharing this fab idea!

I used to do this when I was a teen,*ahem only a few years ago*.
