Well hello,
Check out this fairdinkum Aussie scene.
A gorgeous sunset,
a spot of fishing,
billy ready to boil.
Perfection.
This is our campsite on the shore of beautiful Lake Albert in South Australia.
We Moerks are partial to a bit of camping
We spent 3 months camping a year or so ago. Travelling up the centre of Australia and down it's West Coast.
We love to get the camper out whenever we can.
Isn't the light beautiful!
Big boy did his own styling,
guarding his new swag with reeds.
Our kayak named (the purple bean)
nestled gently in the reeds.
Master B caught oodles of fish but still kept going until it got dark.
I wonder what he is thinking about?
What a sunset!
Idyllic, possibly too good to be true.
Oh do stop it. The Suspense!!
ReplyDeleteI can see exactly where this is heading and it involves either or all of the following:
a. a boy
b. a kayak
c. water
d. a collapsing tent
e. snakes
f. fish hooks
I could go on, oh yeah I've been a camper too.
Looking forward to the next instalment with baited breath!
xx
Annie I can assure you there were no snakes involved!
DeleteYour photos make camping look wonderful Deb and I love the sunset ones, so beautiful. It almost makes me want to go ;-)

You should, the sunset was amazing.
DeleteI love that camping!! I want to try & make something like that for my camping theme.
ReplyDeleteYou should. It was a gorgeous setting.
DeleteWhat a beautiful picture of your son fishing....obviously n a world of his own and deep in thought....I haven't been camping since I was a kid but would love to take the girls one day....xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle, I love the picture too.
DeleteBeautiful! we love camping too - The Husband likes to rough it eating bark and berries and I like to have the potty close by. In any case, no matter what comforts of home we have (or don't have) being out in nature is one of our favorite things and your photos captured it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteOur husbands should camp together! We just bought a porta potty for this trip. It made such a difference - luxury!!
DeleteLooks like a gorgeous camping trip, and so peaceful. I love the picture with the billy! Mx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. It looks so lovely. My four year old keeps asking hubby to take her camping, but he's not really into the whole sleeping outside thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up this ripper of a post for the POTMC, Deb! I am so impressed at your drive to take the family camping. Mr PB has only attempted a camp-out in Planet Baby's backyard with the pixies and even then, it was a disaster as it rained overnight and the tent was flooded ☺. I think it might be a while until we try something this adventurous! J x
