As one inclined to a bit of crochet.
I often try and stop and think before I hook.
I often ask a friend for an opinion to try and avoid some of the hideous errors the poor people featured on this blog have made.
So, if you feel like a laugh over the weekend.
Check out What not to crochet.
Oh that crochet site is a hoot. The Muppet Roadkill made me laugh out loud. Thanks Deb! x
ReplyDeleteAre there any rocks there by chance?! Going over to have a look. I'm meant to be getting ready to go out but this is much more important.
ReplyDeleteHa! What about a crochet bikini?! :)
ReplyDeleteHilarious Deb... I do remember my sister having a crochet bikini during the 70's.... ?????
ReplyDeleteOMG, we were both on hideous fashion wavelengths today!! This is hideous!!!
ReplyDeleteI had a crochet bikini in the 70s, I'm not sure whether I should be admitting to that, but it looked way better than the crochet couch dress.
ReplyDeleteHee hee, I think someone definitely not me will have to bring back the crochet bikini. My mum had one too. hee hee
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you find these?! I really enjoyed having a laugh over those amazing creations.... how funny... what scares me is that every one must have taken a considerable amount of time to make!!! What ever did they think when they were done? .... whoops! X
ReplyDeleteSeems like a 'Couch Dress' is a bit like a crocheted retro Snuggie..I'm sure people will look back and laugh at them too.
ReplyDeleteI had a crochet bathing suit in the 90's. Thankfully it was lined!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Is it just me or does the guy look like Bill Oddie from The Goodies?!
ReplyDeleteYes, now that you mention it. He does.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Marg. I had the most gorgeous chocolate brown & cream crocheted string bikini as a 17 y.o. back in 1973. Geez I looked OK in it - big sigh.
