Broome, town beach and pier

Finally the sea, the wonderful beautiful sea!

I was so looking forward to arriving in Broome. Somewhere slightly familiar, Mr M. and I had been there for a holiday pre children and a beach we could swim at. Joy oh joy!!!

Town beach Broome.

How good is the colour of the water?

Check out the colours in these rocks.

The Pier

Very happy feet!

More Broome to follow.

Sunset on the Derby Pier.

We left Windjana Gorge via the Gibb River Road. Let the tyres down a bit, psyched ourselves for a rough slow drive and then the big moment arrived.......

A bit of a letdown really. Lots of dirt, some corrugations, no water, lots of bitumen flood ways.
Next time we will have to do the whole of the Gibb and get to the tricky bits!

We visited the Derby prison boab tree. Master B was fascinated by this.

Our fav. spot was the Derby Pier at sunset.

Next stop.....Broome.
