Somewhere over the rainbow - come on a road trip

I don't know about you, but these days for me, I spend a lot of time obsessing thinking about blog posts.

.

I travel a bit for my work. Sometimes it takes me to the far flung parts of our region. Yesterday I did one of my "big" trips. I took along the camera to show you a bit of rural (very rural, rather isolated) country Victoria.

When I left home, the sky was beautiful, clear and crisp.

This was on old printers and stationers.
This old place is near a railway line, but nothing much else.

This one has seen better days. I bet it has a story to tell.

As the day wore on, the sun faded and it clouded over.

Country people are very creative with their letterboxes.

See this innocent looking one.......

Shotgun pellets inside!

Hmmm, not sure about this one!

I stopped to try and take an artistic photo of the silo, ha ha
And saw this..

I didn't push open the door ( I'm such a chicken!)

Thanks for coming along for the trip.

(my son has my aversion though).
Tell me, do you like to cry? If you follow the theory that certain foods trigger different emotions, well.... I think theres something in that.
Ill be coming with you on your road trip. :)

  4. Pushing a door open on something like that anywhere in Australia would not be wise, considering we have just a few lovely little killer arachnids and a lovely selection of deadly snakes! No chicken about that! I absolutely love the photos and I love this beautiful state of Victoria. I was born in Mirboo North so I'm a country girl at heart. More please! Rxx

  5. Wow, I love all your photos! I love the look of old run down buildings with so much history and character. There is something so exciting about buildings that are so old and decrepid that they're almost going to fall down on top of you! :)
I don't see enough of these sort of images living in Sydney, everythings too new and glossy.
