I'm grateful for and it's Friday, so a pretty flower.

Japonica flowers that cheer us up at the end of Winter.

Bright citrus fruit that the children love.

Finding bananas to buy for $6.99 a kilo.
I haven't been able to buy them for less than $13 for months.

Drinking two cups of tea in a row from my Grandma's teapot.
(sometimes undisturbed!)

My new outdoor table and lantern.
Perfect on the front porch watching the kids play in the Spring sun.

Companies who honour their "lifetime warranty".

  1. I'm really looking forward to Friday too, i'll be very grateful when it comes. And I love japonicas, they remind me of my mum. Love your new outdoor lantern, so pretty. I have one that is in desperate need of some TLC...another project for a later date. Banana's for 6.99 a kilo?! Yay, I'm off to the fruit & veg shop to check out the prices!! Alison x

  4. Deb! Your a day early but I still love your friday flowers:). Two cups of tea without being disturbed(sometimes)-fantastic. I love grateful posts as they remind me that it is usually the little things that mean so much.

  7. Ok. Call me stupid, but what's that last image? The only company that I know that honours lifetime warranties is Tupperware...and that doesn't look like tupperware to me...

  8. Ok Brismod, I will name them. It is Aladdin/Stanley, they honour a lifetime guarantee on their thermos flasks. We were given two for our wedding and they stopped working. When I went to buy a new one I saw the lifetime guarantee and contacted the company. They were brilliant. They paid all the postage, replaced the 2 thermos and they work fantastically. I will never ever buy another brand of thermos.

  9. I always wonder when I buy something with a lifetime warranty if the company will still be operating after all that time and am surprised when they are! And even more surprised when they don't use the "natural wear" or "consumer abuse" excuse. There are, surprisingly, quite a few like Aladdin Stanley - they are a good company, pricey at the outset and worth it in the end.

  15. Two cups of tea in a row...sometimes interrupted! Ha!! That sounds like my life all over!! ;-)

I love that crocheted rug too. I'd love to get hold of some wool as chunky as that. I can find wool sold as 'super chunky' but it's not as gorgeous as that rug. Grrr.
