My creative space - granny bunting

There has been much said around this here blog, and twitter and instagram about Mr M's creativity lately so I thought it was time to reclaim my own bit of creative space.

Last weekend, on the spur of the moment, aided and abetted by Miss B. some bunting was begun.

Up in the attic I have a stash of old old floral materials. They were left over from various projects and some were passed on to me from others.

Having gone through a floral stage a long long time ago, they have remained untouched for years upstairs.

We also found some old doillies and cut them up to add to the bunting.

It is pretty rough and ready.
Pinking sheared edges.
Straight sewing.

So far, so good.

I have plans to put it over out outdoor table.
My plans would require about 18 metres.
I will keep you posted about how it goes.

Meanwhile, if you would like to see some beautifully made bunting, then visit my friend at Zippy Zippy, her bunting is amazing and she and her hubby have a beautiful garden and vege patch with lots of great photos on her blog.

And, don't forget to click here to add a comment to join Mr M's Moerky Etsy shop opening giveaway.

I am also playing along in the Kidspot My Creative Spaces today.

  2. Oh Deb, how fabulous. I love the doily touch. Did you have cut up bigger ones to make them? I think this would look fabulous on Plant Baby's deck. Thanks for the inspiration! J x

    1. Yes Jane, I popped into the op shop and snapped up a couple of big ones to cut up. Who knows if they will fray? We will have to wait and see. I am sure it would look great on the PB deck.
