Bondi escape

I have never really been to Bondi beach, or Sydney really.
Unless you call driving through the city, guided by a clearly malfunctioning GPS and getting lost under the harbour bridge with 3 whingeing children and a frustrated husband driving a car with a camper trailer attached a quality experience!

So, I was, in my own words,
"excitipated"
to find this little gem.

It is by the same people who own that gorgeous farm I showed you a while back.

My excited chattering about this little beauty,
has been met with less than enthusiasm by the males of the house.

Nevertheless, I am making it my mission to one day get to explore Sydney and all it has to offer.

I have to see the Donna Hay, General Store,
Pottery Barn, if it is open by then,
The bridge etc.

More info can be found here

Can you recommend any places of interest in Sydney?

  1. It looks beautiful Deb - you should go!
I spent 6 months in Sydney back in the late 80's as backpacker replenishing my travel funds. I worked at kmart at Bondi Junction, I lived with a scotish girl, and we decided if we were going to be living in Sydney, we were going to live at Bondi Beach. We rented a "batchelor flat" it was tight, kitchen, bedroom living all in the one room, only the bathroom was seperate, but we were living on Campbell Parade, the main drag, overlooking beautiful Bondi Beach! We lazed on the beach during the day, went out at night :)and squeezed in a bit of work too.

  2. I haven't been to Sydney for years but remember loving the ferries on the harbour. Such fun, and they call it public transport. I'm not sure you should take boys to such a beautiful house, perhaps make it a girls trip? They must have an IKEA somewhere in Sydney!

  4. I'm with Lisa...I loved the ferries and they're the best way to go to the zoo..which has beautiful harbour views or to see the Sydney Harbour bridge..and of course the harbour..or visit Manly.

  7. I have a home in the North of England that I have my eye on to stay in when I one day am able to escape up there with my husband. It may be some time coming but will be soooo worth it when we get there. So I know exactly how you feel. Excitipated - what a cool word!!

    1. It is a great word isn't it. Better than being exhaustipated.

  10. Oh I love Sydney and staying in that gorgeous home would make the trip all that more special. Paul and I had a few years where every January, we'd go for a little trip to Sydney. I always made a point to visit Paddington and wander through it and the surrounding suburbs, stopping at quaint little homewares shops (this was pre- Donna Hay store days). Now I have a whole new list of shops to visit 'one day' :)
