White with pinky red.

I have been spending way too much time on the computer these last few days.
But look at these gorgeous pics I came across.
Loooove the big white and grey mirror.

Part of a gorgeous house feature. You can find more of this lovely home  here.

An update on the blackboard.
When I undercoated the frame white, the whole thing turned a rather pretty yet disturbing shade of green.
I soldiered on and have put on a top coat.
I'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

I also think Mr M has given me a dodgy pot of blackboard paint left over from the 1960's,
it smells disgusting and is a bit powdery when dry.

This whole DIY thing is fraught with obstacles!

I also had to go back to the Salvo's again today for something I had been thinking about ever since reading The Painted Hive blog.
I saw it yesterday and thought about it rather obsessively all night.
Lucky it was still there waiting for me this morning.
All will be revealed hopefully in due course.

  2. The rainy weather has had much the same effect on me computer wise. I'm just enjoying seeing what everyone is doing. I must finish my blackboards... I've a few that I started...paused... you know! :) I look forward to the secret salvo find. Good for you. If you slept on it, and it was still there, it was meant to be yours! :)

  3. I vowed with the new year that I would spend less time on the laptop and I have been terrible about it! Too many interesting things going on now that we have all shown off our holiday decor!

Best of luck with the blackboard, you are a determined lady! I think the beautiful frame makes it well worth the trouble.

Beautiful photos. Love all the florals!

  8. Oh I love that mirror and those images are divine. I have also painted a small frame and had a go at spray painting the middle with blackboard paint. It was very powdery too, but after a couple of coats it was OK...I used black blackboard paint as green blackboard paint was also available. Can't wait to see what you have found :)

  14. Oh i think, on the whole blackboard paint thing, i might go for the readymade painted black board panels you can buy from a hardware store, then cut to size. You're not alone in your paint version struggle. Love Posie
