ipad 2 or 3

source

I have been thinking about getting an ipad and recently discovered I have enough Fly buys points for an ipad.

It would be a 16G, ipad 2 wi fi and 3G.

My dilemma is, Is this enough memory? Should I just opt for a new ipad or get one with more memory.

Do you  have any experience with ipads, any suggestions please?

I have also looked at a few covers on Pinterest and there seems to be quite a few different styles.

The skin type.

Stand type.

Book type

Home made sleeves

Thick rubber sleeves.

There is just way too much choice.

Even with covers. Who would have thought.

I would love to hear about your experiences.

  1. Further to our discussion on twitter (hard to achieve in less than 140 characters)... To be honest Deb I left the decision of which model to my husband and son as they are a bit more tech savvy than me but I reckon 16 gig will be plenty for my needs. Loving the keypad and typing much faster than on the computer. I think I've discovered my new best friend!

  3. My husband has had iPad 2 & 3 and he suggests: definitely more memory (I agree, I have the 16GB iPhone and it's not enough). The iPad 3 is better than the 2 he had because: the Retina Display is significantly better and it also has a faster processor (4 times faster). The camera on the iPad 3 is excellent, the camera on the 1 and 2 are a waste of time. The three things that make the Retina Display worth having are: 1. Reading text. 2. Watching movies or TV shows. 3. Viewing photos. He loved the iPad 2 but loves the iPad 3 even more, they are just brilliant. Whichever you choose, get the maximum amount of memory! Hope this helps! 4. My husband has the big memory iPad 2 as he bought it just before the iPad 3 came out (no choice, he was returning to Afghanistan) & he rates it very highly. His has a lovely military grade cover that you can run a tank over & it won't crack, very lady like NOT!! I still get shocked when i see regular iPads sans armour, they look so pretty. I don't even know how to turn it on, i'm only on my first piece of Apple gear (beyond an iPod) with the Mac desktop, slowly does it for this non technology lover. Enjoy!! Love Posie

  6. I have an iPad 2 with 16gb memory. It's more than adequate for me. I have lots of photos and songs stored on mine and have heaps of memory left. I would love to gat the iPad 3 but my current one is not that old and does everything I want it to do. I couldnt live without it.

  7. Hi Deb,
I saw on tv this orning that they said the new iPad has a faster processor, better screen and something else I can't remember! They seemed to think it was much better. It was on the Today show this morning so you might be able to see the info on their website. I'm am rather tempted but will have to wait a while. Maybe a nice Christmas pressie to moi?

  8. I love love love my iPad. I have the original one and it is still great. I'd love a new one but there is nothing wrong with mine it is still working perfectly. I don't use all my 64G but I do use my wireless and 3G all the time. I can access the Internet anywhere! (like sitting at netball training) I get my mags online (mollie makes, Country LivingUK etc) I read on the Kindle app, I use the Martha Stewart cooking app for baking... what ever you decide, you WILL be happy!!!! 9. hi deb,

I am a confessed closet geek - I can not express my opinion here enough to go for the highest memory you can get.

I always do that and I always fill it. (you know the saying "the larger the handbag the more you fill it")
but don't go for the smaller option GB you will be sorry in the future as you will fill it up with "stuff" and there will still be plenty of life left in the iPad.

hope this helps and ask me any time what ever you want - I am an apple addict :)

    x Loulou
