Colourful happy Christmas cushions

I recently found this rather cute material in Spotlight and decided to make some happy Christmas cushions.

The owl and the birds were my favourites.

I decided on pom poms and giant ric rac for the trims.

I was in haberdashery heaven.

The kids were less than impressed.

They like snap shopping decisions.

Does this print make you happy?

I love turning a pile of this, into

A pile of these.

It is bucketing rain here.
I think I will have to change my plans for what I am wearing out tonight.

Glitter lips might just wash off in this deluge!

What ever you are up to this weekend.

I wish you much

Leaning tower of..............................

Quilts and cushions..........................

When it is cold
we Moerks love our comforts.

Any number of warm and cuddly quilts and rugs are usually only an arms reach away.

I was dozing on the couch when inspiration struck!

I thought these colours looked quite fetching in a warm and comfy type way.

Totally thrown in a pile by various members of the family.

Quilts, rugs and my $8 cushions.

The leaning tower evolved.

See the eiderdown precariously perched near the top.

That one is special.

It came from my Grandmother.

It is worn and patched
and I am a little hesitant to wash it too often.

Pretty much any day, at any particular time.
You will usually find one of us.
Snuggled.
Wrapped in love.

Are you a snugglers?

I am a little excited this week as
Let's go Moerkabout is being featured over at the Decorating Forum.
If you haven't visited before, head on over. There are lots of great ideas and I found many like minded decorators over there.

New look for $8.00

I have had this blue fabric for a while, fulling intending to make some cushions.
Just waiting for the right moment.
Then,
the other night at 5pm,
inspiration struck.
I probably should have been starting to cook dinner,
or
do the ironing.

Instead,
I headed off to my attic.

And whipped these babies up.

Down below a nerf war was raging.
As I yelled from above to keep the noise down and not to break anything,
Mr M assured me they would be careful.
( I suspect he was the ringleader.)

Did you spot these on the coffee table?(Actually the coffee table is another story)

I have been messing around with more crochet.

Crochet and cushions.
A girl could be very happy!
I have been checking here to make sure the crochet is
acceptable!

Cheery seasonal cushions.

A couple of weekends ago.
I made some cheery seasonal cushions.
To cheer up the brown leather couch.
 Which remains uncovered.
I have plans involving drop sheets
and sewing machines.
But frankly right now, it is a project too big to handle.

Of course they don't stay like that for long.
Do you wonder at the amount of time spent putting cushions back on the couch?

Inspired by the lovely Zippy Zippy lady over the road
I made up some little tags for the cushions.
