Kennel makeover.

Our sweet dog Lulu was much in need of a kennel makeover.

See, tired, dreary, weedy and no wow factor.

Poor Lulu.

Then, fortune struck.
And I was the winner of a Ramsign sign.
Thanks to Tracey of My House of Giggles.

So, we got a rubbing and a scrubbing, and cleaned inside and out.

Now that Autumn is well and truely here it gets chilly at night.
So we fitted some carpet.
And a fancy crochet rug.
(No, not one of mine in case you were wondering.)

I know Lulu likes crochet, because she sits at my feet at night when I get the hook out.
(She has her own inner granny)

A couple of pots of white flowers,
fresh water,
and a welcome mat.

If you were wondering about the chain.
Sometimes eg when Mr M is chopping wood, we have to chain her up for her own safety as she tries to chase the flying pieces of wood.

One very happy fluffy puppy.

She has been popping in and out all afternoon since we did the makeover. She just lays in there with her head poking out the door.
I swear there is a smug look on her face!

Hopeful.

"If just one of those strands should fall"

What a picture of intense concentration!

"Please, please, please"

It was so hot the other day and we were confined to indoors.
We decided a little pasta making was in order.
Lulu was in because it was just too hot.
The pasta dried in an instant and
was delicious.

Fully Master B. approved.

We are also hopeful that the people of far North Queensland will be Ok.
The very nasty cyclone Yasi is building
in intensity.
How much more can poor Queensland take.
Fingers and toes crossed for you all.

Take 6.

Christmas is over, we had a lovely time. Now we get to spend some time chilling out.

Here are 6 quick snaps, one for each of us, taken at 4pm this afternoon.

Guess who?

We girls are putting our feet up!

No rest for some. Mr M re-levelling the paving.

Master S making himself a new workbench.

Master B cleaning our camping shoe box in preparation for our
beach holiday.

Lulu, who is just so happy to have everybody around.

Hope you are having fun, whatever you are doing.

Projects

It's been project city here over the last couple of weekends.
I have had the sewing machine out and have made multiple trips to good old Spotlight.

I made some Christmas cushions, .
 a
raggy Christmas wreath
which I will show you another time
and
this little love heart pincushion.
Perfect for Christmas sewing projects.

I decided that I really couldn't stand the ugly purple dog mat anymore

So popped off to get some material to match the couch cushions which were recently
seen here lazing around on the new cape cod chairs.

  There, much better.
I don't know why I didn't think of it before.

Lulu was happy too!

White Wednesday with a touch of shoes and a home made bean bag.

Still on the subject of chairs, isn't  this so very cute!.................

Very simple, but very cute!

Master B. is a fan of lining up his shoes.

Every night before he hops into bed, he hangs up his dressing gown
and lines his slippers up

Every morning he makes his bed and tidies his room

He actually really does a good job, he is only 6.

He didn't neatly place the bean bag there. I did to take a photo. He pestered me for ages to make it and the cushion for him.

I finally did and he was just so happy.

So was Lulu!
(She thinks if she doesn't make eye contact, we can't see her and I won't ask her to get off)
In your dreams fluffy puppy!

Easter photos.

Love a chance to show off the Easter photos from years gone by.

Miss B and Lulu the wonder dog when she was just an adorable little puppy.

Master B. (not quite sure what he is doing here)

Is it an egg? Is it a branch? No is super B!
