Friday flowers from the farm.

Happy Friday to you.
It has been a long time between posts.
I am blaming it on mid winter lack of motivation.
I have been very slack.
Not doing much blogging, not really commenting much.
Not running.
Not looking in the local shops.
Shock horror.

A good friend set me straight the other day.
She told me to get running again and everything else would fall into place.

I took her advice yesterday (she is a wise one.

I went for a shuffle run,
and do you know what?
I think I have my mojo back.
As well as sore thighs!

I love white flowers.
The mix of white and green.
I adore it.

And, these early spring bulbs.
Lovely, sigh.

Remember the chooks I posted about?
This is theirs to scratch around in, all day.
I bet their eggs are full of the best sort of sunny, healthy goodness.

Early Camilla's in the nicest of pinks.

I like this one.
I think of it as timber patchwork.
All these photos were taken by me on a friend of a friends gorgeous farm.

Flutterbys.

BHG

Isn't this nice.
Soothing even.
Perfect for a Weekday.
Actually, now I look at it again,
Are they a bit evil looking?
Maybe I am just a bit tired.
It't cold outside.
Warm inside.

The wall paper is pretty.
But,
I still couldn't do it.
Plain and simple is much more Moerkstyle.

Did you watch The Rennovaters?
One of the women on it has a son in my sons class at school.
She has been avoiding the school run.

I can't wait to see her.
She did a brilliant job.

I am still obsessed by the block.

I just love Katrina and Amie, they have the best laughs and crack me up each time I see them.
I just want to hang out with them and make CWA jokes.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Sunday afternoon at the Moerks

It was a drizzly grey old day here yesterday.

So we decided to light the fire pit.

There was a lot of sitting around. Please excuse the old painting/gardening clothes.
Please notice THE BOOTS
I put some sheepskin inner soles in them and they were as warm as toast.

See Lulu's feet and face.
She needed a bath afterwards.

There was a lot of poking and prodding of the fire until some genius  suggested these were in order.

Mr M quickly twisted up some wire forks.

Perfect.

Marshmallows and tea in the backyard, in the drizzle, a lovely way to end the school holidays.

Stop, in the name of bathroom love.

How perfect is this bathroom?

Those magnificent tiles.

I could really while away some time in here.

Meet some gorgeous girls, down on the farm....

Just through here,
under the peppercorn tree.

In a sweet little house.

Live a gorgeous gaggle of girls.

With pretty gardens to scratch in.

Friends to cluck with.

Somewhere safe to roost at night.

These girls live a charmed life.

We met them to today while visiting a gorgeous farm.

I took a zillion photos.

Stand by, there are more to come.

chalkboard tray

via faded white linen

Isn't this a ripper of an idea!
So simple.

So much fun.

As you know I am a huge fan of blackboards and have a couple hanging around.

There are a few variations around.

I am thinking of trying to make some fabric placemats and paint them with fabric blackboard paint.
Has anyone tried the paint?

It's Donna, it's Donna!

I love Donna Hay.

I used to regularly stalk her website hoping that one day she would start selling online.

Thanks to the lovely Posie from Posie Patchwork, today, I discovered she does.

This is Posie's wonderful haul.

After reading Posies post, I immediatley jumped online and found Donna's online store.
These are some of the things on my wishlist.

The ornate cooling rack.
Currently out of stock, I will be watching and waiting for this baby!

Too cute!

Striped paper straws.

Pretty in pink.
