I think this poppy cushion is adorable.

As you know I am rather fond of crochet,

and, I quite like white.

Perhaps this will be my next project.

I am thinking that this weekend would be a great time to have a try at this little pattern.

After all.

This is the last weekend before

footy officially starts and we will be

out in the early morning

freezing out butts off.

We always grumble and complain about getting up early for footy and netball.

 As soon as we get there, we look at the mountains.

Our shoulders relax, we breathe the fresh air.

And it is "all good".

Everybody needs a little browse now and then.

I popped over to Cox & Cox on the weekend for a little browse. 

How cute are these little birds on a wire!

I have a shockingly ugly hat basket.

This would be an improvement.

Too cute, would look great in Miss B's room.

Spotty birds, love them.

I am still liking this lacy tape.

This weekend.

Started with muffins in bed.

A purchase.

This is before.

Brown and blah, it had to go!

Pretty and pink, see it matches my iron.

My inner granny was speaking to me when I made the purchase!

Afternoon tea.

In the Aussie bush.

Cake lovingly made by Miss B.

Industrious boys, working off some afternoon tea.

Adrenalin pumping and Mother's wincing, not bearing to watch.

Followed by a girly baby shower Sunday afternoon tea.

With pom poms made by Miss B and me!

Joining up for the BC Saturday club.

He's a star!

Our 7 year old is a bit of a star when it comes to making his bed and generally keeping his room tidy.

His brother and sister?

 Well let's just say, NOT so tidy.

Here is a little star garland I crocheted for his tidy room.

See, bed all made, cushions in place. Light streaming in.

Good boy!

Sorry the evening light is not fantastic.

(but, I did make the bean bag and cushion too, that's another story).

These starts were quick and easy to do.

I tell you, It's Friday night and my inner granny can't wait to finish tea and hit the couch so I can have some serious crochet time!

So far mine has been super busy with lots of work. Hopefully I will emerge from under all the paper and demands.

Sometimes the balancing act of being Mum, part time work, blogger, friend and sports commitments gets a bit much.

My inner Nana is alive and kicking.

I am embracing the lace!

Wide blue yonder.

Some days the sky is just a perfect shade of blue.

It transforms the ordinary.

It's finished.

My stripy crocheted bag is finally finished.

We have had a love hate relationship.

I'd get sick of it and think it was too loud.

Then I'd love the stripy happy colours.

Right now, 

I'm loving it.
