Haberdashery- Spools

You may have noticed that apart from one lapse with the t towels I have not posted any Christmas posts
Yet!
That is because I am waiting until December 1st.

I love this Sadie Olive photography.
I also love her bits and pieces of haberdashery and
spools of ribbon and lace.

The Nordic folks also seem to love the wooden spools and in their light,
they look so good.

If only I had kept all my old wooden reels.
I will have to keep an eye out for some.

Jolly good Friday to you!

Hooray, it's Friday.
Today I am going on a shopping trip with my Mum.
But first, I need to share a little Christmas bargain.

These cheery t-towels fresh from Woolworth's.

Happily hanging on the line.

What a bargain at $2.99 for two.

Have you found any bargains lately?

stationery love

I'm a stationery girl.

The Kikki K emails make my day.

I am a list making girl.

I'm a carry a little rolled up bag in my handbag kind of girl.
I am a tree and birdie loving girl.

I'm a swingtag gal.
And a DIY stamping kind of girl
And I am a little obsessed with finding the perfect diary for the kitchen bench.

And with these cute little birdies.
all images KikkiK
And if I could I would be the kind of girl who carries her diary, and stamps and birdie post its in one of these cute little bags.

Projects

It's been project city here over the last couple of weekends.
I have had the sewing machine out and have made multiple trips to good old Spotlight.

I made some Christmas cushions, .
 a
raggy Christmas wreath
which I will show you another time
and
this little love heart pincushion.
Perfect for Christmas sewing projects.

I decided that I really couldn't stand the ugly purple dog mat anymore

So popped off to get some material to match the couch cushions which were recently
seen here lazing around on the new cape cod chairs.

  There, much better.
I don't know why I didn't think of it before.

Lulu was happy too!

The travelling cupcake is moving on...& Friday Flower

That's right, it's time for the Moerks to say farewell
to Cuppie the Travelling Cupcake and wish her well on her travels.

Cuppie was sent to us from Kerry A Tranquil Townhouse and she came with us on a camping trip in Victoria, Australia.

You can read about it here.

Cuppie made some friends in our crockery cupboard.

We had a lovely time.
Now it is time for Cuppie to wing her way across the seas to Old Blighty
to the delightful Melissa of Miss Sew & So.
Who in conjunction with her daughter Ella came up with this line for this picture....

the cup cake is saying....

"oh my god....she's not listening to me...she's just gonna eat me!"
Good one Melissa and Ella!

I must say it was very hard to choose and I also cracked up when I read this one

Jeez if only I could get these eyes open I might be able to see what I"m eating.

The cupcake said to the girl " you cant eat me , we must be related, look we both have a big brown mole on our face !"

Cuppie is the brainfood brainchild of
Dianna from One Crafty Fox
who started this whole challenge off.

So bye bye Cuppie, hope you have fun with Melissa and her family.

More fluffy stuff, a coffee filter lantern! Cupcake challenge.

How clever is this!

Clever gal Nichole from A Parlour home blog
made this clever soft lantern by attaching coffee filters to a simple paper lantern.

Visit Nichole here.

I can only imagine the sticky mess I would end up with.

But, the end result is well worth the effort.
