The French do it so well.

Instead of the tangled mess of thread and stacks of crumpled fabric I have upstairs.
One day, I would love to organise my sewing space to be tidy and pretty like this.

It looks so pretty and organised.
How disciplined this person must be.
How easy to work on a project when everything is so organised.

And this pretty bathroom looks fresh and clean.
No wet towels on the floor.

Drinks anyone?

Maybe a cuppa?

It's all so pretty.
As the title of the post says.

Whoa..... way too much crochet!

Tee hee, I know.
It's totally over the top.
A riot of colour.

Guess what?
It makes me smile.
Mind you, if I lived there I would need to take two panadol and have a lie down.

Mid winter in the garden.

Hi there,
 Do you have some time?
This is a rather long and rambling post.

Firstly, thank you to all of you for the helpful suggestions regarding the phone table.
Hopefully I will get onto it and post some finished pics in the not too distant future.
Secondly, we are moving into spring at long last so I thought I had better post these mid winter pics.
Have a happy Monday everyone.

I wanted to show you what was happening in the garden mid July.

I was amazed I could find a few flowers.

Firstly the ever reliable camellias are starting to flower, hooray!

I like these pretty double pink ones even better when they are not splashed with mud from the pressure washer.

I don't mind the odd arum lily or two.

Violets are very special, my Grandmother used to pick them and bring them inside all the time.

The last surviving rose, I will be attacking these with the secateurs very soon.

The daisies are also very reliable and happy I think.

The lemons and the borage are going gangbusters!

Did you know the borage flower is edible, tastes peppery.

Our Harry Potter waves his magic over the seedlings. (forgive me, that was bad wasn't it)

Mr M is rather proud of his pumpkins.

If you are a sticky beak like me you might like to see things like the potting shed.

And the wood shed. I like seeing where all the real work is done.

Thanks for joining me on my mid winter garden ramble.
I can't wait for spring, it's nearly here.

Phone table makeover, help needed.

I know it has been done many times before.
But this time it is my makeover.

I picked this up at the Salvo's.

And gave it what seemed like 20 thousand coats of paint.

Then I got as far as putting on the foam and calico.

And, the project has stalled.

I think it needs, either a painters drop sheet fabric, or a linen toille type fabric to disguise the little shoe prints that are left behind when the children use it.
And then maybe some upholstery buttons on top and something to join the gap where the cushion meets the timber.

All suggestions gratefully received.
 (Please help).

Under pressure, a before and after.

Some time ago our dog Lulu had a Kennel makeover to celebrate her new name sign.

Well since then, it has been a cold, wet winter.

I decided that the courtyard needed a bit of sprucing up.

See, it is all looking a bit blahhh!

Out came the trusty pressure washer.
Boy was it addictive.
The fights we had over whose turn it was!

Don't the bricks look so much better.

One day I must tell you the story of those bricks.
We collected and cleaned every single one of them.

My hands still feel the pain.

Ta da, all tidy and perfect for a cuppa on a sunny day.

Don't worry about Lulu, the kennel is snuggled in under the mulberry tree in a corner near the shed.
It's cozy at night and she gets the morning sun on her doorstep.

Aren't these amazing?

Would you believe, they are made of resin?

I think they look like the real deal.

Leaning tower of..............................

Quilts and cushions..........................

When it is cold
we Moerks love our comforts.

Any number of warm and cuddly quilts and rugs are usually only an arms reach away.

I was dozing on the couch when inspiration struck!

I thought these colours looked quite fetching in a warm and comfy type way.

Totally thrown in a pile by various members of the family.

Quilts, rugs and my $8 cushions.

The leaning tower evolved.

See the eiderdown precariously perched near the top.

That one is special.

It came from my Grandmother.

It is worn and patched
and I am a little hesitant to wash it too often.

Pretty much any day, at any particular time.
You will usually find one of us.
Snuggled.
Wrapped in love.

Are you a snugglers?

I am a little excited this week as
